Today was Madie's last day of school. I think it was a much bigger deal to me than it was to her. Although I told her it was her last day until next year, I'm not sure that she understands that she will not be going back next week or the week after that. When I was thinking about putting Madie is Mom's Day Out (MDO) I remember struggling with the decision. I didn't know if I should (I was a stay at home mom and my JOB was to take care of her all the time) or if I wanted to (could I handle her going off alone...by herself?) Well, it turns out that it was the best decision I ever made. And looking back I can't believe I was so torn about the decision. It gave me a little "Me" time and let Madie know that there was a world outside of Mommy. She had wonderful teachers (I can only hope that we are this lucky every year) and she made some of the sweetest friends that she will probably graduate high school with. The year has flown by and I think it is only going to get faster. I want to bottle these memories up and keep them forever. It was amazing to see how much she had changed since the first day of school.

I swear I almost cried yesterday when I walked in to see Munchkin's artwork and say good bye to her teachers.... they're growing so fast!!
it passes WAAAAY to fast. I'm glad she had a good year. I'm sure the first of many more greats to come!
